Shooting Chroma

This week a few members of the Bad Rum team travelled down to Surrey to film Chroma (Dir. Ed Pettifer).

Chroma follows the emotional journey of an artist who sucks the colour out of all that she touches. We were situated in a converted barn, owned by the artist group Shed Art, and they kindly allowed us to dress the set with some of their amazing work. By teaming up with Rapture Films, we captured some pretty amazing stuff for you guys. The talented Ben Roper (Director of Photography), managed to transform this film into a real work of art.

Ed Pettifer began to direct his idea to life, and his trusty First Assistant Director, Ryan Hall never missed a chance to write some sort of pun on the clapper. So, after lots of paint, a few broken mirrors and many cups of coffee, we managed to shoot Chroma in two days.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and the footage is looking amazing.

We recommend you check out some of Ben Roper’s work, as it was a pleasure working with such a talented Director of Photography. You can check out his website here.

Can’t wait for you all to see it! Watch this space for Chroma! Hitting festivals soon!
